National Workshop on Rehabilitation of Trafficked and Missing Children organised by NALSA in collaboration with Delhi State Legal Services Authority and Bachpan Bachao Andolan.

 
 

NALSA in collaboration with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority and Bachpan Bachao Andolan organized a ‘National Workshop on Rehabilitation of Trafficked and Missing Children’ on 22nd – 23rd August, 2016 at Vigyan Bhawan Annexe which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice T S Thakur, Chief Justice of India and Patron in Chief, NALSA, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Anil R Dave, Executive Chairman, NALSA, Hon’ble Ms. Justice G. Rohini, Chief Justice of Delhi High Court and Patron in Chief, Delhi State Legal Services Authority, Hon’ble Ms. Justice Indira Banerjee, Judge, Delhi High Court and Executive Chairman, Delhi State Legal Services Authority and Shri Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Peace Laureate and founder of Bachpan Bachao Andolan.

The workshop was an initiative to provide a national platform for consultation towards creating a robust child protection response mechanism for the prevention of trafficking of children, their effective rehabilitation and the related issues.Almost 150 stakeholders of child protection from 12 states and Union Territories came together on a single platform for the first phase of the Workshop at the Constitution Club of India and the participants included the Member Secretaries of the State Legal Services Authorities, officials of the Government Departments, police officials, Chairpersons and Members of Child Welfare Committees, Members of Juvenile Justice Boards, officials of District Child Protection Units, NGOs etc.
